Due to the custom and handmade nature of our products, our return and refund policy is as follows:
- Non-Custom Products (e.g., standard greeting cards): You may return unopened, unused non-custom products within [e.g., 7 days] of receipt for a full refund or exchange, provided they are in their original condition. Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility.
- Custom / Personalised Products (e.g., scrapbooks, personalised hampers): All sales of custom or personalised products are final and non-refundable, except in cases where the product is defective or damaged upon arrival, or if there's a significant error on our part regarding your approved design. Please inspect your order immediately upon receipt.
- Damaged/Defective Items: If an item arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within [e.g., 48 hours] of delivery with photographic evidence. We will arrange for a replacement or refund as appropriate.
- Cancellations: Orders for non-custom items may be cancelled within [e.g., 24 hours] of purchase. Custom orders cannot be cancelled once production has begun. For custom orders, if cancellation is requested before production starts, any initial deposit may be non-refundable to cover design and consultation costs."
6. Intellectual Property
"All designs, content, images, and creative works displayed on our website and products are the intellectual property of [Your Business Name] or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of our intellectual property without our express written consent."
Important Considerations:
- Legal Review: Seriously, get a lawyer to review your T&Cs. They can identify potential legal risks and ensure compliance with consumer protection laws in your region (e.g., India's Consumer Protection Act, 2019).
- Clarity: Make sure your terms are easy to understand for your customers. Avoid overly complex legal jargon where possible.
- Accessibility: Ensure your Terms and Conditions are easily accessible on your website, typically in the footer.
- Updates: Have a clause that allows you to update your terms, and ensure you notify customers of significant changes.
